Andrew G. Minney
Andrew received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from U.C. Irvine, and earned his Juris Doctorate degree at John F. Kennedy School of Law in December of 1998. Andrew was admitted to the California Bar in June of 1999. Andrew has also been a member of the Contra Costa County Inn of Court which is an organization dedicated to increasing professionalism, civility and ethics among members of the bar. Further, he is a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Association of Defense Counsel.
Andrew and has been a civil litigator since 1999, focusing primarily on the defense of personal injury, product liability, and premises liability cases. The bulk of his cases have come from direct referrals by insurance carriers, including Zurich, Travelers, CNA, Financial Pacific, Fireman's Fund, Mid-Continent, Federated and West Coast Casualty. A substantial portion of Andrew's work has also been referred by third party administrators, including NovaPro, Blair & Company, Cambridge, HDR and Berkeley Risk.
Prior to coming on board with SMYM Andrew worked for a Sacramento litigation firm for seven years where he was dedicated to handling the firm's most complex and high exposure cases. Prior to that he spent two years litigating cases as an associate with a Walnut Creek branch of a statewide insurance defense firm.
